The peaceful passing of A. Sharon Porter (Sharon) of Amherst occurred Tuesday, August 18, 2015 surrounded by family and friends at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan.
Born in Amherst, she was the daughter of the late Oliver and Marion (Travis) Porter.
Sharon was very active as health care provider as a teacher, nurse, manager and friend, not only in Canada but worldwide. She enjoyed sailing, entertaining and cooking which she loved to share with her staff. Sharon also enjoyed a sip of wine with the Wine Time Girls.
Sharon is survived by her son Philip (Andrea) Fairbanks, grandchildren Cameron, Chelsea and Alexander, brother David (Kristine), sister Donna Bezanson, extended family and close friends.
She was predeceased by daughter Amber Dawn.
A funeral service will be held Friday, August 21, 2015 at 2:00 pm in Campbell’s Funeral Home, (98 Church St. Amherst) with Rev. Nigel Weaver officiating.
