COTTENDEN, BARBARA "BARB" ANN
Barbara “Barb” A. Cottenden, 67, of Lakeville, Westmorland Co., with her loving husband at her side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, August 18, 2015. Born in Amherst, NS, she was the daughter of the late Seldon and Mary (Brownell) Crossman.
Barb was formerly employed with Canadian Tire Financial and retired from Citigroup and was a member of Lewisville Baptist Church. She was a member of the Lakeville Lions Club, volunteered at K.E. Spencer Memorial Home and enjoyed going to the family camp in Dorchester.
Barb will be deeply missed by her husband of over 41 years, Michael “Mike” Cottenden; sister, Evelyn Maltby (late Roy) of Amherst, NS; brother-in-law, Gordon Cottenden (Brenda) of Amherst, NS; special nephew and niece, Cody Cottenden of Enfield, NS and Vanessa Cottenden of Amherst, NS; many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one sister.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Thursday from 12:30 to 2:00 pm. A Service to celebrate Barb’s life will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Gordon MacLeod officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment will be held at Lakeside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Barb’s family asks that donations be made to a memorial of the donor’s choice.
