It is with sincere sadness that the family of Emmanuel Stephen Payne announces his passing at the Bonne Bay Health Centre, in Norris Pt, NL, on Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at the age of 85 years. Emmanuel leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his daughter Margaret (Marvin) Brown of Fort McMurray, Alberta, special and caring grandchildren: Kim (Derrick) Hancock of Cow Head, NL, Conrad (Angela) Brown, and Morgan and Spencer of CBS, his great-grandchildren: Desiree Hancock (Michael Bavis) and Brittany Hancock and his great-great-grandson: Carter of Cow Head, NL, his sisters: Annie Reid, Marie Parsons, Serena (Isaac) Blanchard, Eura (Edgar) Brown, Annie Payne, Marion (Gerald) Parsons, Patsy (Lyman) White, his brothers: Aubrey (May) Decker, Henry (Rita) Decker and Anthony (Linda) Decker, his sisters-in-law: Bertha Payne, Mary Payne and Evelina Decker, and also by marriage: Violet Hewlin, Hughena (Con) Brown, Thelma (Bill) Kassis, Harold (Marjorie) Payne, Adrian (Carol) Payne, Melvin (Rosemarie) and Janice (Stu) Gallagher. Emanuel also leaves to mourn a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Emmanuel has been predeceased by his wife Bride, five stillborn babies, Deborah and Charles Payne (grandparents who raised him), mother Mabel (Thomas) Decker, his father Stanley Hutchings, his brothers: Stanley, Kenneth, and Alex Payne and Alexander Decker, his brothers-in-law: Henry Reid, Ronald Parsons and Joseph Payne, also by marriage: mother and father-in-law Jack and Lucy Payne, brothers-in-law: Freeman Payne, George Hewlin, and George Stuckless, and his sisters-in-law: Ula Stuckless and Rachel Payne. The family will be receiving family and friends from St. Mary's Anglican Church in Cow Head, on Thursday, August 20th, 2015 from the hours of 7-9 pm, and continuing on Friday, August 21st, 2015 from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will take place from St. Mary's Church on Saturday, August 22nd, 2015, at 2 pm with Rev. Terry Rose officiating and the burial will follow at the church cemetery in Cow Head, NL.
