Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on August 20, 2015 Bridget Mercer aged 84 years. Predeceased by her parents: John and Helen Franey; husband: Wallace; son Randy; brothers: Peter Franey, Dave (Fern) Franey, John Michael (Fanny Jane) Franey and Ronald Franey; sisters: Nellie (Ronald) Power and Mary Franey; brothers-in-law: Allan (Susie) Mercer, Lloyd (Jessie) Mercer, Donald (Nellie) Mercer and William Mercer; sisters-in-law: Gladys (Joe) Fry and Maud (Stewart) Mercer and son-in-law: Frank Cousins. Leaving to mourn: son: Donald (Rose); daughters: Gladys (Claude) Barrett and Viola (Ed) Mercer; daughter-in-law: Mary Williams, sister-in-law: Emily Franey; special friend: Hazel Paul; grandchildren: Craig (Patricia) Cousins, Dave Cousins, Ian (Roxanne) Barrett, Lori (Matt) Bramwell, Stephanie (Cory) McKenzie, Jessica (Adam) Noel, Christopher Mercer, Wally McDonald (Melissa Edmunds) and Bradley Mercer; great-grandchildren: Erin and Shannon Cousins, Andrew and Kaitlyn Barrett, Gabe Luke and Joey Bramwell, Rylan and Sophia McKenzie and Nigel Noel as well as many other relatives and friends. The funeral service will be held 2 pm. on Monday, August 24, 2015 from St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church and Cemetery, Coley's Point. The family will be receiving relatives and friends at SLADE'S FUNERAL HOME, L.T. STICK DRIVE, BAY ROBERTS, on Saturday: 8-9 p.m. Sunday: 10:30 am - 9 pm and Monday: 10:30 am - 12 pm.
