It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our dear Jessica on Friday, August 21, 2015 after a tragic climbing accident. Predeceased by her grandmother Kathleen McErlean in Northern Ireland and her grandparents Gertie and Jack Carew. Leaving to mourn her parents Sandra and Liam McErlean, her brother Timothy and her large extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins in many different parts of the world. She will also be sadly missed by her large circle of friends in the climbing community, especially Donovan Wilkens, and her life-long kindred spirit Kate Steneker. Special appreciation to the dedicated staff of the HOPE program. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Monday August 24 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. as well as Tuesday August 25 from 1-4 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place from Corpus Christi Church, Waterford Bridge Road, on Wednesday August 26, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. with inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jessica's memory may be made to the HOPE program, Major's Path. "We Love you Jess."
