EDWARD, MARION
Marion (Coursey) Edwards died August 21, 2015 in Fredericton, NB with her family close by her side.
She is survived by son Alan and his wife Lauren of Hanwell and grandson Sebastian Edwards of Fredericton, NB and son Eric (Dr. Molly Warner) of Westmount, Quebec. Marion is survived by several nieces and nephews including Diane and David Downs and Sue Mills of London, Ontario, Christopher Edwards and his wife Bernice and great nieces Mickie and Margaret of Rothesay, NB. Special Godchildren include Rev. Canon Steve Williams, Dr. Andrew Cook, Audrey Cook and T. Daniel Patstone, as well as Diane and David Downs.
Marion was predeceased by her mother, Irene Coursey and her sister Delrene Downs.
The funeral service will be a celebration of life, to be held at Christ Church Cathedral, Wednesday morning at 10am, August 26. Service will be conducted by Reverend Canon Albert Snelgrove, the Reverend Canon Tom Smith and the Very Reverend Geoffrey Hall. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the regular congregation who attend the 10:00 a.m. Holy Communion Service on Wednesday mornings as well as cousins Ralph Ford of Lenox, Michigan, in absentia, and Bruce Shapton, posthumously. Cremation was under the care of McAdam’s Funeral Home. There will be no visitation prior to the service, but the family has asked to meet Marion’s friends and business colleagues following the service at the Cathedral Hall. No flowers by request.
Anyone wishing to give a memorial to charity might consider a donation to the Farraline Home for restoration of the living room furniture.
The ashes will be buried at the family plot at St. James Church, Clandeboye, Ontario at a later time. Online remembrances may be made at www.mcadamsfh.com
