Passed peacefully away on August 22nd 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by family and close friends, Corina M.D. Oake (Jefferies) at the age of 61 years. Corina will be remembered as a strong, fun loving, caring and devoted wife, mother and nan. Gary - her "rock", her children and her grandchildren were her greatest joy in life. Corina was an excellent hostess and loved to fuss and cook when people came to visit. She always made sure everyone had their favorite dish. Corina leaves to mourn with beautiful and loving memories her husband of 42 years, Gary, daughters Nicole (AJ) Heather (Chad) and son Jason (Leanne), grandchildren; Mallory, Lindsay, Marcel, Jenna, Ryan, Nicholas and Jeremy. Sisters; Angela, Melvina, and Michelle. Brothers; Ron, Gene, Jerry and Lamonte. Predeceased by mother and father; Muriel and Otto, sister Addwina and brother Mervin. Corina had a very large circle of family and friends who will miss her dearly, especially her 'soul sister' Sue. The family will be receiving family and friends from Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, NL, on Monday, August 24th, 2015 from the hours of 7-9 pm. The celebration of Corinas life will be on Tuesday August 25th at St Michael's Anglican Parish of Deer Lake at 2 pm, with Canon Rev: Paulette Bugden officiating, with the burial to follow at the Anglican Church section of The Deer Lake Interdenominational Cemetery on Wight's Road, Deer Lake, NL. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Corina's memory to The Western Memorial Regional Hospital Palliative Care unit, would be graciously appreciated by the family. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Parson's Funeral Home and Chapel, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, NL.
