We regretfully announce the passing of George Melburn McNamara, 37, on Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2015, at the Sunnybrook Health Sience Center in Toronto Ont., after a motor vehicle accident, surrounded by his loving uncle, David Maclean.
Born in Reserve Mines on Nov. 4 1977, he is survived by his loving father, Thomas McNamara; loving brothers, Joseph (Ashley), James (Amy); sister, Angela (Tom) and nephew, Christian.
In addition to his many aunts and uncles, who loved him dearly, he will be greatly missed by a large, close group of friends, and many cousins who cared for him deeply.
He was predeceased by his mother, Elizabeth 'Liddy' McNamara and grandparents, Michael 'Micky' and Marie MacLean and Vince McNamara and Rita McAdam.
There will be no visitation or funeral mass. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Curry's Glace Bay Funeral Home, 775 Main St. Burial will take place on Thursday, Aug. 27th, at St. Joseph Cemetery, MacLeod's Crossing, at 1 p.m. with Rev. Daniel Boudreau officiating.
