Ronald J Morrison

Morrison, Ronald J. – 70, Truro, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2015 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Sydney he was the son of the late Alex and Agnus (Nicholson) Morrison. He is survived by his 26 year devoted companion, Judy MacDonald; brothers, Alex, Peter, Paul and Alan; sisters, Dorothy and Mary; children, Loretta and Pauline; grandchildren, Vincent, Bianca, Cameron and Kaitlyn all of Ontario; several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents he was predeceased by his daughter, Anita and sister, Mildred. Ronald was employed by Superior Propane for 29 years, first as a service man then service manager then onto branch manager. He then went on to work for the Ken Smith Trailer Sales finally finishing his working career with Thermo Cell Industries. With 4th St. Josephs Wolf Cubs, North Sydney, he received his 4 stars and also received his Queen Scout. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #26 and a member of the 102 Wing RCAFA where he served on several committees, was president and past president and an honorary life member. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro. A celebration of Ronald’s life will take place from 2-4 p.m. on Thursday, August 27 at 102 Wing, 22 Cottage Street, Truro. Graveside burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 28 in St. James Anglican Church Cemetery, Upper Lakeville with reception to follow in the St. James Church Hall, Dolby Hill, Jeddore.
