It is with saddened hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of Ronald Anthony McNeil, age 61 formerly of Dominion. Ronnie passed away at the Glace Bay Hospital on Monday, Aug. 24, 2015, with his family by his side.
Born in Dominion, he was the son of the late Patrick Y. and Olive (MacIntyre) McNeil. Ronnie was a member of the former St. Eugene Church, Dominion.
Ronnie work in Ontario as a window and siding installer, he was an avid Montreal Canadiens fan and football fan of the San Francisco Giants, who loved to laugh and enjoyed telling jokes.
He will be sadly missed by his loving sisters, Agnes, Toronto, Marsha Lapointe, Reserve Mines, Debbie (Wayne) MacNamara, with whom he resided. Also surviving are a brother, Billy, Dominion, along with nephews, Michael, Wayne (Raylene) and their son, Beau; Brian (Katie) and their children, Brooklyn, Connor, Zack; niece, Laurissa (Stephen) Lockman and their children, Nathan, Haidley, also by best friend, Allan Jaques, as well as many nieces and nephews and close friends.
Ronald was predeceased by his parents, brothers, Alex and Cecil and brother-in-law, Charles Joseph Lepointe.
There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place
Funeral arrangements are under the direction and care of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Fr. Danny Boudreau officiating. Interment will follow in St. Eugene’s Cemetery, Dominion.
Donation may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
