DALEY, CRYSTAL DAWNE
It is with great sadness the family announces the death of Crystal Dawne Daley of Saint John, who passed away at the Greater Niagara General Hospital in Niagara Falls, ON with her family at her side on Sunday, August 23rd, 2015. Born in McAdam on October 14th, 1968, she is the daughter of Gerald and Katherine (Christie) Sullivan of McAdam.
Crystal’s career was as a Licensed Practical Nurse; which she enjoyed greatly; Crystal’s two main places of employment were: The Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton, NB and then moved on to work at the Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital in Lunenburg, NS until she was diagnosed with cancer. Crystal graduated from McAdam High School, and then graduated from the Licence Practical Nursing Program from NBCC Saint John in 1995.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. Crystal’s major joy in life was to spend time with her family and friends, she lived for her boys and what she called her third boy, her beloved husband. Crystal’s main goal in life was to see her family happy and would do what it took to make that happen.
Crystal is survived by her loving husband Norman Daley; her sons Christopher Sullivan and Cameron Daley of Saint John; her parents, Gerald and Katherine (Christie) Sullivan, brothers Terry Sullivan (Darlene) and Troy Sullivan (Judy) of McAdam; mother-in-law and father-in-law Malcolm and Patricia Daley; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Eric Daley (Patti) and Elaine Daley of Saint John; nieces and nephews Tara and Michael Sullivan, Natasha, Chyanne and Sebastian Daley; feline friend Morgan and canine companion Abe.
Crystal was predeceased by her grandparents, Aunt Joyce and Uncles Dean, Steve and Mervin.
Crystal will be resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitation on Friday, August 28th, 2015 from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. Father Peter Osborne will celebrate a mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist Church 54 Broad Street, on Saturday August 29, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
Family requests in lieu of flowers to make a donations in Crystal’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
