1927 - 2015
Corinne Arsenault, 88, formerly of Steeves Street, Parkton, passed away at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC on Wednesday, August 26, 2015. Born on March 27, 1927 in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Thaddée and Elmire (Bastarache) Robichaud).
Corinne was always willing to volunteer in her community, especially the Moncton Boys and Girls Club and the Knights of Columbus, and she served in many elections as a Liberal. She was always ready with a pot of fricot and bread, or other comforts for people in distress and families in need. Her own family remained her main interest and purpose in life.
She is survived by five children: Claudette Bradshaw (Douglas), Cecile Brunet, Cecilia Bertin (Armand), Ronald (Brenda Brick) and Gilles Arsenault; two sisters: Violette Goguen (Alcide) and Huberte (Charles) Leblanc; five brothers: Edgar (Terry), Zoel (Yvette), Arice (Lola), Gerry (Greta) and Laurie; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren who she loved greatly, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Cyril Arsenault; her daughter, Denise Leger (Roger); her sister, Aline, and her brothers: Emery and Yvon.
The family wishes to thank the good and kind care of all those who cared for their mother during her lengthy illness - especially the Palliative Care Unit staff at the Dumont Hospital.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and Saturday from 9 am until time of departure (9:45). The funeral mass will be celebrated at Notre-Dame-de-Grâce Roman Catholic Church, 854 Mountain Road, Moncton on Saturday August 29, 2015 at 10 am. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe.
In memory of Corinne, a contribution to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated. www.frenettefuneralhome.com
