Our brother Greg was born on October 24, 1948 in London, Ontario. Our family moved to Saint John, N.B. in 1952 where Greg completed high school at Rothesay Collegiate School. While there he competed for championship rugby teams and captained the school hockey team to City & District championships. Greg attended St. Thomas University where he also played high calibre rugby and earned his B.A. in 1974.
Greg’s professional life was in radio sales and management where he made his mark in Montreal, St. John’s, Oshawa, Saint John, Sussex, Amherst and Halifax. His professional expertise was always in demand in everything from broadcasting to sales and high level management.
We believe that Greg’s legacy is the manner in which he lived and loved. His parents, Edith and Gene Sullivan, raised him to always be aware of the needs of others and work to make life better for himself, his family and his friends. His brother Richard and his sisters Kathy, Margie and Mary were always beneficiaries of his support and good humour. Many stories can be told of Greg’s exploits and mischievous behaviors around home but his loyalty and support will be remembered most. His children, Tara and Sean and granddaughter Nola were near and dear to his heart and will remember him always. Greg’s many friends benefited greatly by knowing him and sharing in his fun-loving activities. He was always there to lend a helping hand or contribute in some way and this was returned to him in many ways, most notably the many friends who were able to travel from all over the country to visit him during his illness.
Greg’s loving wife Katherine has stood by his side and shared in so many joyous occasions over the past few years. Katherine stood even taller by providing constant care and attention throughout his illness. May he RIP. Online condolences may be placed at www.brenansfh.com
