Passed peacefully away in the loving arms of his three girls n Saturday, August 29, 2015, our beloved father, aged 84 years. Predeceased by his wife Barbara (Hennessey); parents Joseph and Vera McKinlay; and brothers Alexander and Douglas. Left with fond and loving memories daughters, Kathryn (Paul Bishop), Carolyn (Daniel Malone) and Joanne; grandchildren Robert and Emma Bishop, Racheal, Anna and Joseph Malone, and Stuart McKinlay; sister Janet Petten; and a large circle of family and friends. Dad had the most wonderful friends, all whom he cherished. He was very involved in the business community through both McKinlay Motors and McKinlay Agencies. His passion for family, friends and work kept him active into his 80's. A kind and loving father, we will miss him greatly. A very special thank you to the staff at Tiffany Village, where he resided for the past few years, and to the Palliative Care Unit at the L.A Miller Centre for their exemplary care and support in dads final days. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Tuesday September 1 from 2-5 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday September 2 from St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church at 11 am.
