Velma Kidney

KIDNEY, VELMA - Velma Bertha Kidney passed early on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Carleton Manor in Woodstock after sharing a day with many family members. Velma was born in Bloomfield, N.B. on December 24, 1921, the daughter of Guy and Lena Black.
Velma lived a rich and full life. She married Byron Kidney, the love of her life, in February 1945. Together they raised three children Joy (Bev), James (Cheryl) and Judy (Robert, deceased). She lived in the same home from 1954 until 2014 and truly appreciated the value of friends, neighbours and community. Her family, though, both immediate and extended was her true interest and inspiration. She loved “keeping up” and was truly interested in others.
Velma grew up as part of a family of six and she is survived by her youngest sister Marilyn Strong of Woodstock. She was predeceased by her brothers Glen, Ronald and Harrison and one sister Evelyn. She is also survived by three sisters in law as well as nieces and nephews and their families
