White, Eileen Frances - With heavy hearts and great sadness we announce the passing of our dear mother, Eileen Frances White, on September 6, 2015 at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow she was a daughter of the late Vincent and Alfreda (Baudoux) Mahar.
Eileen was a resident of Munroe Avenue in New Glasgow her entire life. During her working years, she was employed with A.C. MacCulloch’s for many years, later retiring from Home Hardware due to ill health.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, dancing and her bowling league.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Surviving are her daughters Doris (Gary) Stewart, New Glasgow; Kathy White (John), Granton; Marlene MacPherson (Delaney), Abercrombie; 3 grandchildren: Michael, Scott, Lisa; 5 great-grandchildren: Kelsey, Jarret, Josh, Parker, Kieran, and one expected soon; close friends Jessie Busby and Aggie Hale.
She was predeceased by her first husband Dougald MacPherson, second husband Burt White, a son Bernard MacPherson and 12 brothers and sisters.
Her remains will rest at the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow for visiting from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday from where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday with Father Peter MacDonald presiding.
Burial will take place in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Eileen may be made to the Nova Scotia Lung Association or to the Pictou County SPCA.
