It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Roy Chislett of Glace Bay on Sept. 6, 2015 at 50 years of age in the Palliative Care Unit of the regional hospital.
David was a lobster fisherman for many years. David was a proud member of the Y’s men club and two legions — Port Morien & Branch 3. David loved bowling, camping in Mira and hunting.
David is survived by his wife Linda; his daughters, Katelyn Chislett (Brogan Young) and Candice MacIntyre (Ryan Ward); two grandchildren that he loved dearly Braiden and Leigha; his mom Pauline Chislett; brothers, Neil (Laura), Danny (Lisa), Paul (Joanne), Robbie (Denise) and Kenny; two sisters, Paula (Ross) and Judy and best friends Shannon Spencer, Glen Martell, Rob Jessome and Shaun McInnis.
David was predeceased by his father Dan Chislett, sister-in-law Lori Donovan, his grandparents Phil and Marie Chislett and Neil and Margaret MacNeil.
A funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 11, 2015 at Patten Funeral Home, 71 Union St., Glace Bay.
