Joyce Frederica Thompson, of Lajord, Saskatchewan formerly of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully at Fillmore Nursing Home on September 4, 2015 at the age of 90. Joyce was born on November 11, 1924 in Baildon, Saskatchewan and was raised in the Central Butte area. She was predeceased by her husband Harold Thompson in 2001, her parents Herbert and Mary Farmer and her siblings Cyril, Bertha, and Clarence (Happy). Joyce loved the outdoors, enjoyed taking long walks, attending rodeos, and drives through the countryside. She also adored animals and frequently visited the zoo and cared for many pets over the years. Joyce will be deeply missed by her daughters Margaret, of Moose Jaw, and Betty Ann, or Lajord, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren as well as nieces, other family members, friends, and caregivers. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice, in lieu of flowers. A Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 8 from 10am till 12pm in the W.J. Jones & Son Funeral Chapel, Moose Jaw. A Graveside Service will be held at Central Butte Cemetery Friday, September 11 at 2pm. Reverend Dave Moore will officiate. In living memory of Joyce, a memorial planting will be made by W. J.
