Claude S. Bell

Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Monday, September 14, 2015 of Claude Bell of Charlottetown, in his 89th year.
He will be forever loved by his wife Bernice, who together quietly celebrated their 63 years of marriage on Sunday, September 13 with his nieces Kay and Helen from B.C. and Linda from N.B.
He is survived by his brother Tom of Fredericton, N.B. and special feline friends Dina and Kitty 1.
He was predeceased by his sisters Eleanor and Marion and brother Charles.
A graduate of Queen’s University in Kingston, Ont., he had a 35-year career with the Ontario Teacher’s Federation working in public relations and acculturation of teachers from foreign countries.
He and his wife Bernice retired to Charlottetown 25 years ago.
He was actively engaged in community groups including Trinity United Church where he sang in the choir.
Much appreciation is extended to the doctors and nurses who cared for Claude at the hospital.
Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel from where the service will be held on Thursday, September 17 at 10 a.m.
Interment later in Kettleby Cemetery; Kettleby, Ont.
Family flowers only, however if so desired, memorials to P.E.I. Humane Society, Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
Visiting hours Wednesday from 3-6 p.m.
