With sadness we, the family of Sadie May Aitken, 97, announce her passing on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2015, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Wreck Cove, she was a daughter of the late Angus and Tina (MacDonald) Englehutt.
Sadie was a member of Westmount United Church.
Surviving are her son, Roger (June), Cambridge, Ont.; grandchildren, Michael and Curtis Aitken, Sydney, Joshua Aitken and Meghan (Brad) Patriquin, London, Ont; great-grandchildren, Kristen and Aiden and their mother, Darlene Peddle.
Sadie was predeceased by her husband, Melville; son, Wayne; and sisters, Kay MacDonald and Georgina Penny.
Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Westmount United Church on Thursday 11 a.m., with DLM Norma Mills officiating. Interment in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.
