1959 - 2015
Gisèle Josane Bourque, 56, of Moncton, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2015 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on January 16, 1959 in Moncton, she was the daughter of Viola (Melanson) Bourque of Moncton and the late Yvon Bourque.
Prior to her illness, Gisèle was employed with Church Flooring et Plus in Shediac and formerly with MacPherson Orthotic in Moncton.
Besides her mother, she is survived by two sisters: Denise Bourque and Carole Dupuis (Maurice), both of Moncton; two special nieces whom she adored: Kayla (Michael Girouard) and Natalie; her best friend, Pam; her two precious cats: Lily and Katie; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude towards Kim Daigle, nurse with the Extra Mural as well as the staff of the Palliative Care and the Oncology Units of the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC for their excellent care provided to Gisèle.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and Saturday from 9:30 am until time of departure (10:15). The funeral mass will be celebrated at Notre-Dame-d’Acadie Roman Catholic Church (U de M), 18 Antonine-Maillet Avenue, Moncton on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 10:30 am.
