Pearson, Robert “Bob” Lee, 88, Maitland/Truro, passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, September 12, 2015. Born in Truro he was the son of the late Gordon and Violet (Johnson) Pearson. Bob attended school in Truro and worked with his father for Canada Post in his early years. He worked in several vocations and later became the Registrar of Deeds for Colchester County until his retirement. He enjoyed spending time with Ellen, time outside walking, doing crossword puzzles and was an avid reader. He is survived by his wife, Ellen; daughters, Catherine Pearson, Jayn Pearson, both of Truro, Sally (Joe) Juneau, Kemptville, ON; sons, Graham, Hilden, James (Krista Williams), Brookfield, David (Lisa Norman), Chelsea; 14 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his first wife, Frances Wheadon. The family wish to express special thanks to the First Responders, the paramedics, the VON who were so faithful over the years and Dr. Sarbjit Singh. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19th from 1-3 p.m. in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of N.S., the Canadian Diabetes Association or to a charity of choice.
