Mary Ann "Molly" Trail

TRAIL, MARY ANN "MOLLY"
Mary Ann (Cameron) Molly Trail lived a gentle life and on September 15, 2015 passed on to join her past family, husband, Gordon Trail, her infant twin sons, a grandson, Bradley, her parents, John and Jeannie Cameron, five brothers, Alistair, William, George, Jock and Allen and her friends. Continuing to be a favourite wherever she went, the staff of DECH embraced her with kindness.
Missing her already are her sons, Mac (Patty), Marty (Louise) and Cam (Marilyn). Her eight grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren will miss her cookies, homemade bread and meals she prepared for them until her 100th birthday, August 16, 2015.
Over her lifetime when she lived in Lower Southampton, NB, Molly worked with the Kirk United Church, serving as an elder, served on Presbytery, was involved with the United Church Women and made a life member. She worked as craft teacher at Woolostook Camp and leader of the Explorer girls group. She also worked with the Baptist Women’s Missionary Society and was made a life member. After moving to Fredericton, she joined the Senior’s Painting Club and learned to paint in oils and water colours. Her favourite hobby was quilting which she excelled at and became a member of the St. Paul’s Quilters and the Wilmot Church Quilters. Many of her works of art have been given to people who admire them. In addition to her involvement in these activities, she joined the Sir Howard Douglas Chapter of the IODE, St. Andrew’s Society and worked at the Stepping Stones and the Community Kitchen. St. Paul’s UCW and the IODE will greatly miss her bounty of decadent dainty cookies for their receptions and fundraisers. Her family and friends will miss this cheerful, generous Scottish lady who brightened the lives of all she met until the day she left us.
Visitation will be held at Flewellings, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, N.B. on Thursday, September 17, 2015 from 4 pm to 7 pm. Funeral service will be held at St. Paul’s United Church, Fredericton, N.B. on September 18, 2015 at 2 pm. with Rev. Richard Bowley officiating. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
