It is with great sadness that the family of Florence Mary Blanchard announces her passing on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at the Bonne Bay Health Centre, Norris Point, NL, at the age of 69. Florence will be remembered with loving hearts by her children: Jamie (Paul) House and Jody (Renee) Blanchard, her grandchildren: Cheryl (Bradley) White, Matthew House, Patrick Thornhill (Tegan Wagner), Brayden Blanchard and Isabella Payne, her great-grandchildren: Kerri, Kaelen, Easton, and Rylee, her sisters: Marilyn (Peter) Coskie and Audrey Butt, her special companion Felix Goosney, and son-in-law Marcel Thornhill. Florence will also be missed by a large circle of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Florence has been predeceased by her husband Stanley Blanchard, her daughter Judy Blanchard, her parents Solomon and Bridget Matthews, and her brother Donald Matthews. The family will be receiving relatives and friends at St. Peter's Anglican Church, Parsons Pond, NL, on Sunday, September 20, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, and Monday, September 21 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will also be held at St. Peter's Anglican Church on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at 2 pm with Rev. Terry Rose officiating. The burial will follow at the Anglican Church Cemetery, Parsons Pond. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Parsons Funeral Home and Chapel, Deer Lake, NL.
