HOGAN, KEVIN J.
Kevin J. Hogan, 61, of Moncton, passed away suddenly at The Moncton Hospital surrounded by his family on Friday, September 18, 2015. Born in Charlottetown, PEI, he was the son of the late Richard and Marion (MacDonald) Hogan.
Kevin was currently the Vice President of member development with UNIPCO, Past President of the Stratford business association, Past President of the PEI Fire Fighters Association, former member of the Parkdale Town Council, member of the Parkdale and Sherwood Fire Departments. He was an avid curler; he loved to entertain and was a chef extraordinaire. He was the former owner of the Hogan’s Homestyle Restaurant, and operator of the Dunkin Donuts.
Kevin will be sadly missed by his wife of 25 years, Sheri (Butler) Hogan; loving daughters, Kerry Ellen (Corey Nantes), Kelly (Shawn Plunkett) and Andrea (Phil Savoie). Proud “Poppy” to Jaden, Jara and Ryan Nantes, Alice Plunkett, Colby, Dominic, and Luke Savoie; brothers and sisters; Bill (Joanne), Bev (Garth Thompson), Ben (Marian), Father Lyndon Hogan; brother-in-law; Bill Duffy, Julia (Robert Wright), Rick (Robyn), Pam (Donald Newcombe) and Valerie (Andrew Davies). Also left to mourn are his father-in-law; Charlie Butler, sister-in-law; Jeanette (Peter Ripley) and brother-in-law; Dennis Butler. Kevin is also survived by 21 nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his sister, Janice Duffy, Godson, Christopher Hogan, and mother-in-law, Mary Butler.
Resting at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), with visiting hours on Tuesday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Remains will then be forwarded to the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home, 33-35 Longworth Ave, Charlottetown, PEI (902-894-4321) where visitation will take place on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral Mass at St. Dunstan’s Basilica (45 Great George St, Charlottetown) on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 2:00 pm. Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown, PEI.
