It is with deep sadness that we the family announce the passing of, Blanche Louise Gerard, 82, of Sydney, who passed away Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015, at the Northside Community Guest Home.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Hazel (Wadden) Hardy.
Blanche was a member of Church of Christ The King. She was involved with the ACW, Sanctuary Guild and the Alexandra Society. Blanche worked at Crowells Department Store for many years until her retirement.
Blanche is survived by her daughters, Marilyn Hayes, Sydney and Pauline (Donnie) Holmes, Southside Boulardarie, sons, Bob (Angela), Lower Sackville and Gary (Marcella), Waverly; sister June Arsenault; grandchildren, Jason Hayes, Jeff Hayes, Brody Gerard, Jackson Gerard and Ava Gerard; great-grandchildren, Madison Hayes and Sydney Hayes and many nieces and nephews.
Blanche was predeceased by her husband Maurice, a son George, a sister Charlotte Weatherbee, brothers, Robert, Billy and Harold.
There will be no visitation, a family graveside service will take place at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Palliative Care or the Alzheimer’s Society.
