James Pollock

POLLOCK, JAMES WELDON
It is with great sadness that we regret to announce the death of James Weldon (Welly) Pollock of Nackawic on September 20, 2015.
Weldon was the ultimate family man and will be missed by his wife Mavis Pollock (Maisey) and his three children, Shane Pollock (Lisa) of New Maryland, Lynn Bujold (Mike) of Rothesay, and Jamie Pollock (Erica) of Nackawic; his six grandchildren, Mitchell and Nicholas Pollock, Christopher and Samantha Bujold, and Dawson and Blake Pollock. He is also survived by his sister, Heather MacDiarmid (Dave) of Riverview, and his half-brother, John Pollock (Sofia) of Colombia, South America, and sister-in-law Sharon Pollock-Munson of West Vancouver, BC, several nieces and nephews.
Weldon was predeceased by his mother and father, Carrie and John Pollock and his brother Darryl Pollock.
Weldon was born in Dartmouth, NS on August 5, 1941 and died peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Weldon touched all of those who knew him and he will be missed. His greatest gift to others was his time and he shared it with abundance. Weldon enjoyed his occupation as an instrumentation mechanic at Nackawic Pulp & Paper, this was evident by his many returns to work after his retirement. He also enjoyed the chance to tee it up at the local golf course with his sons and spent many years both playing and coaching local hockey. He took pride in attending any event that involved his grandchildren. Weldon made the world a better place with his positive outlook on life and tried to share that with all those he knew.
Please join us at the Nackawic Curling Club, 122 Carleton Drive, Nackawic, NB on Saturday, September 26 from 2 to 4 pm to celebrate his life. All are welcome to greet the family, and share a story or memory of Weldon.
In memory of Weldon, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or York West Minor Hockey.
