The death occurred at Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 of Mary Ellen Clara Hardy of Newton formerly of Rosebank aged 76, wife of the late Roy Hardy. Born in Garson, Ontario on December 8, 1939 daughter of the late Harold Melville and Florence Yvonne (Plouffe) Sutton. Dear mother to Gary (Leisa), Newton; Richard (Kimberley), Pickering, ON; Thomas (Cathy), Scarborough, ON and Raymond (Glenda), Carleton, Lot 6. Loving grandmother to 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Sister to Harold Jr, Toronto; Garnet (Janet), Ponty Pool, ON; Gail (Terry) Muirhead, Little Britan, ON and Linda Sutton, Oshawa, ON. Sister in law to Lorne (Carol) Hardy, Orono, ON; Preston (Helen) Hardy, Bloomfield; Lois (Larry) MacWilliams, Belfast; Pal (Vick) Goulbourne, Bowmanville, ON; Mary Rogers, Malpeque; Faye Liens, Ottawa, ON; Goldie Alexander, Ottawa, ON; Donna (Vern) Cameron, Charlottetown and Connie (John) Rolland, Oshawa, ON. MaryEllen is predeceased by her parents, husband, son Daniel Wayne in infancy, brothers Homer and Brian. Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O¹Leary with visiting hours on Friday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral on Saturday in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in the Elmsdale United Church Cemetery. Members of St. Anthony¹s Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary will hold a service for their late member at the Funeral home on Friday at 6:45pm.
