George Lionel Forsyth - 81, of Harbourville, Kings County, and Lake Placid, Florida, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2015 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Bridgetown, he was a son of the late Chesley and Mildred (MacNeil) Forsyth. He is survived by his wife, the former Carolyn Rood; a daughter, Lori (Bruce) Smith, Fort Lauderdale, Florida; a son, Eric (Jenny), Dallas, Georgia; a brother, Alex (Carol Cox), London, Ontario; a sister-in-law, Marjorie Forsyth, Castle Rock, Colorado; a brother-in-law, Harold Calkin, Berwick; three grandchildren, Andrew Smith and Makenzie Smith, both of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Matthew Forsyth, Dallas, Georgia; a great granddaughter, Gracie Phillips, Dallas, Georgia. He was predeceased by two sisters, Mildred Robinson and Betty Calkin; a brother, Eugene; a sister-in-law, Nora; a granddaughter, Megan Forsyth. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. The funeral service, followed by a reception, was held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 25, 2015 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Reverend David Ogilvie officiating.
