ROACH, ETHEL YVONNE
1945 - 2015
Ethel Yvonne Roach, 70, of Moncton, NB, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at the Moncton Hospital after a brave battle with cancer. She was born in London, England on January 5, 1945 to parents Letitia and George Mullin.
Ethel spent the first five years of her life living in Wales, a place she spoke of with great fondness. She grew up in Miramichi and graduated from North and South Esk Regional High School. She had a long, successful career with ATV/CTV Network; retiring in 1993. Ethel loved to garden, enjoy nature, read books, watch “Coronation Street” on T.V. and spend summers in her family home in Miramichi. Her greatest joy was spending time with granddaughters Molly and Jamie. She was a tireless canvasser for the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Ethel is preceded in death by her parents, George and Letitia and her husband Kenneth. She is survived by her daughter, Tracy and son-in-law, Darren Spidell; granddaughters, Molly and Jamie; brother, Don Mullin (Susan); brother-in-law, Bob Roach (Carol) and sister-in-law, Susan Saulnier (Ed). Ethel always put others’ needs before her own. Her love for her family will be remembered always.
Special thanks to the Palliative Care Unit at The Moncton Hospital.
