Surrounded by her loving family, the death occurred peacefully at Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Thursday, September 24, 2015 of Florence Margaret Gallant (nee LeClair) of Urbainville, PEI aged 92 years. Beloved wife of the late Alphée Gallant, Florence was born on March 9, 1923 in Urbainville, PEI to the late Jim (Jacques) and Marie (Gaudet) LeClair. She is the last surviving member of her family. Florence is survived by her 16 children: Leonard (Carol), Hermas (Thelma), Cécile, Louis (Sheila), Léonce (Simonne), Gloria (Henri), André (Donna), Marcel (Lise), Charles (Sandra), Jacques (Bernice), Raymond (Wendy), Abel (Gerri), Donald (Monique), Michel, Léona (the late Justin) Cameron, Julia (Joey) Mills. She is lovingly remembered by her 38 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn brother-in-law Joseph Gallant, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents and husband, Florence is predeceased by brothers Leonard, Cedric, Ernest and Edward and sisters Rosina, Alfreda and Theresa, grandchildren Daniel and Ashley, and son-in-law, Justin as well as brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Resting at the Évangéline Co-op Funeral Home, Urbainville until Saturday, September 26, 2015 then to St. Philippe and St. Jacques Church, Egmont Bay where funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers as an expression of sympathy, memorial donations in Florence's memory to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
