Florence Marie Deveaux, age 82, of New Glasgow formerly residing in Sydney, C.B., passed away on Sept. 24, 2015, at the Aberdeen Hospital surrounded by her family.
Born in Tracadie, New Brunswick, Florence was the daughter of the late Gertrude (Theriault) and Michel Lebreton.
She will be sadly missed by her son Michael (Barb), New Glasgow; her grandson Ricky, Miami; a brother Howard (Lyne), Montreal; sisters, Rina and Gertie, Montreal; a sister Amanda, Georgia; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son Roland and brothers Edmund and Ernest.
Cremation has taken place. As per Florence’s wishes there will be no visitation. A family graveside service will be held in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Margaree, Cape Breton on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2015 at 11 a.m.
The family would like to thank Dr. Gerry Farrell and the wonderful nursing staff of the palliative care unit at the Aberdeen Hospital for the exceptional care Florence received.
Arrangements in New Glasgow were under the direction of the H.W. Angus Funeral Home.
