BILLINGS, FLORENCE MARIE (BRAWN) WEBB
Florence M. Webb-Billings passed away peacefully with her family by her side on September 26, 2015 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Florence was born at Middle Hainesville, NB on November 24, 1926, a daughter of the late Arthur and Elsie (Nason) Brawn. She lived in Ontario from 1953 to 1998, and then moved back to Fredericton, NB.
Florence was greatly loved by her family and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was kind, generous, strong, resilient, friendly and chose to live positively even when challenged with life’s tragedies and hardships. She was a long time member of the Staples Settlement Baptist Church.
Florence is survived by her children, Horace Webb (Lill), Gail Nicholson (Don), Chrystel Jones (Gary), Carson Billings and Kevin Billings (Valerie); grandchildren, Richard Webb (Susan), Brian Webb (Beth), Laura Nicholson, Mark Stephenson (Jocelyn), Carol Wark, Kyle Jones (Lisa), Rebecca Davies (Gareth), Dean Billings (Sarah), Brennan Billings, Jason Billings, Andrew Billings and Aaron Billings; eighteen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald Brawn; several nieces and nephews and many many Brawn, Webb, Nason and Billings family members.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Richard Joseph Webb in 1948; her second husband, Elwood Denzil Billings in 1994; six sisters, Phoebe Jones, Isabel Jones, Pauline Stickles, Laura Burtt, Betty Corey and infant Mary Brawn; five brothers, Weldon, Ellis, George, Charlie and Garnet Brawn; a granddaughter, Heather Nicholson and a great-grandson, baby Wyatt Billings.
Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Monday from 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at 11 am from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Carl and Evelyn Brewer officiating. Interment at Central Hainesville Cemetery.
