Passed away peacefully at her family residence in Corner Brook on Sunday, September 27, 2015 Ruth Pender at the age of 88 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Dorothy Ann, Elizabeth (Clarence), Pierre (Brenda), Michael (Ruby), Catherine (John), Andre, John, and Charles (Nathalie), grandchildren: Erin, Scott, Renee, Patrick, Caitlin, Patrick, Robyn, William, Sandra, Jonathan, Julia, Marie and Thomas, great-granddaughter: Aurora, sister: Molly Fitzpatrick, sisters-in-law: Elsie Pendergast, Kay Dicks, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband: William in 1999, parents Samuel Dicks and Mary Ann Perry, sisters: Rita, Lillian, Marie, Elizabeth, Clarissa, brothers: Bart, Ferdie, George, Charles, David, Gus, Gerald and John. The family received friends at Fillatre's Funeral Home 4 St. Mark's Avenue on Monday, September 28th 7-9 PM, and Tuesday, September 29th at 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, September 30th at 2 PM from All Hallows Parish, Humber Road with Father Edward Terry officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery.
