LONG, ELSIE
Elsie Long, 82, formerly of Manoir Notre-Dame and Cornhill Street, Moncton, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at the Villa du Repos in Moncton. Born December 1, 1932 in Rexton, she was the daughter of the late Olive Long.
Elsie was a seamstress for 26 years prior to her retirement. She was a former dedicated volunteer who spent countless hours at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC and an active member of the Christ-Roi Golden Age Club. She also gave many hours to assist friends and neighbours who needed her services. Elsie also loved playing cards, bowling, knitting and bingo.
She is survived by many friends, and will be missed dearly by her dear friends: Jeanne Arsenault, and Jeannette Savoie.
Visitation will be at the Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral service will be celebrated on Monday October 5, 2015 at 4 pm. A reception will follow at the funeral centre. Visiting hours Monday from 2 pm until time of funeral. Interment will be in Frenette Columbarium, Moncton.
