Phyllis S. (Drake) Peach

We the family, are heartbroken to announce the death of our beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Phyllis (Drake) Peach, age 69 suddenly at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, Sunday, Sept. 27, 2015.
Phyllis is survived by her loving husband, Millage Peach; daughter, Tracey (Robert 'Teddy Bear') Byrne, Norma (Wayne) Risby and Terri Peach; grandchildren, Samantha, Jarrett, Harold, Ashly, Matthew, Steven and CJ; brother, Earl (Helen) Drake; niece, Leah; nephews, George and Garfield. Phyllis is also survived by her mother-in-law, Joyce Peach; sister-in-law, Norma Peach (Kevin); brothers-in-law, Claude (Donna), Stanley (Karen), Fraser (Brenda); niece, Bonnie; nephews, Joel, Shea, Jamie and special friend, Diane Gilfoy.
Phyllis was predeceased by her parents, Levi and Irene Drake of North Sydney, sisters, Myra and Maude, daughter, Jacqueline, father-in-law, Joe Peach, and her beloved Mikee.
The family extends sincere thanks to the country homemakers, the dialysis unit, the ER department and the staff at the regional hospital.
Cremation has taken place. The family will be receiving visitors on Friday, Oct. 2, 2015 from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home Chapel, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating. Burial to take place at St. Paul’s Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials in memory of Phyllis may be made to the Renal Unit Regional Hospital or St. Paul’s Cemetery Fund.
