MARTIN, GLADYS CLARA MAE
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Gladys Clara Mae Martin announces her passing which occurred on Monday, September 28, 2015 at Embassy Hall at the age of 96. She was born on October 19, 1918 in Saint John, NB to the late Walter Patrick and Ena (Campbell) Quinn.
Gladys was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed playing cards with family and friends; she also enjoyed word search puzzles. When Gladys wasn’t occupied with those things, she could be found watching her favourite games shows, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. Above all, she loved spending her time with her family.
Gladys will be missed by her loving family, her son Robert (Carol) Martin, her grandchildren: Kathleen (Ryan) Long, Jennifer Martin (Floyd), Tara (Darren) Bennett, Darren (Amy) McNamee and David (Jill) McNamee, her great grandchildren: Rowan, Avery, Hayden, Ava, Blake and Willa, her brother Warren (Zaida) Quinn and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Gladys is predeceased by her daughter Jane (McNamee) Chamberlain, brothers: Walter and John, and sisters: Ena, Edrys, and Grace.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) where a Memorial Service will take place on Friday, October 2 at 2:00 PM from the Brenan’s Chapel. The family will be welcoming guests beginning at 1 PM on the day of the service.
