It is with great sadness that the family of the late Roy Joseph Farnell announce his passing at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Home on Friday, October 2, 2015 at the age of 75 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 38 years, Ruby (nee Park); daughters: Catherine Watt (Ian), Dianne Gardner (Craig), Debbie, and Sharon; son Roy Farnell Jr. (Amanda Williams); grandchildren: Micheal, Nicci, Tyler, Avery, Ashton, Tamara, Brandi, and Leeanne; great-grandchildren: Dominic, Daelynn, Danaya, Aydin, Bentley, Brooklyn, Masen, Morgan, Sophia, Tariq, Tusma, and Joshua; brothers: Steve, Leonard, and Frankie; sisters: Dolly "Ida", Blanche, Queenie, Linda, Cindy, Marilyn, and Juanita, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents George and Hazel Farnell; parents-in-law Roland and Gertrude Park; brother Carl and sisters Irene and Barbara. In keeping with Roy's wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Monday between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place at Country Haven Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Wendy Lowden officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
