GASS, HAZEN "GORDON"
The death of Hazen "Gordon" Gass of Saint John, beloved husband of Lola (Farnham) Gass occurred on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Born on February 26, 1930 in St. Stephen, he was the son of the late Ernest and Gladys (Frye) Gass.
Prior to his retirement, Gordon was a loyal employee of CP Rail. Gordon was a member of the Carleton Union Lodge #8 F.&A.M.
In addition to his wife, Gordon is also survived by their children, Kevin Gass (Elizabeth) of Vancouver, BC, Cheryl Gass of Saint John, Clyde Gass of Mission, BC and David Gass (Guylaine) of Ottawa, ON; brother, Paul Gass (Hazel) of McAdam; grandchildren, Alex, Monika and Jennifer; brother-in-law, Andrew Smith of Montreal; sister-in-law, Doris Rutherford of Howland, ME; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Gordon was also predeceased by his brother, Carl Gass (Priscilla) and sister, Virginia Smith.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Monday, October 5, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A public Masonic Service will take place Monday at 6:45 PM. The funeral service will be held from St. John the Baptist (Mission Church) and St. Clements, 815 Millidge Avenue, Saint John on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at 10:00 AM. Interment will take place at a later date in McAdam.
