It is with great sadness that the family of Bonnie Rita Janes (Moores) announces her passing on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at the Long Term Care Facility in Corner Brook, NL, at the age of 93. Bonnie will be remembered as a creative lady who enjoyed crafting and spending time outdoors, especially fishing and rabbit hunting. She also had a great love for her family and showed that love in her own way. Bonnie will be dearly missed by Aubrey, her husband of 75 years, as well as her children: Alma Cross, Ford (Faye) Janes, Winston (Geraldine) Janes, Motee (Ben) Young, Jean Coles, Rick (Joanne) Janes, as well as her 15 grandchildren, her 27 great-grandchildren, and her 14 great-great-grandchildren. She will also be fondly remembered by her sisters: Joy Stuckless and Beryl Janes, as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Bonnie has been predeceased by her two children: Wesley and Maxine, her parents Pleyman and Gladys Moores, her brothers: Edward, Fred, Alvin, Bruce, Wesley, and George, her sisters: Margaret Jarret, Myrtle Coish, and Ruby Budgell, and her grandchildren: Brian Janes, Douglas Cross, and Tony Cross. The family will be receiving friends and relatives on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 from 7-9 pm, and Wednesday, October 7 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, at Parsons Funeral Home and Chapel, 63 North Main St, Deer Lake, NL. The funeral service will be held at the Salvation Army Citadel, Deer Lake, on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 2 pm with Major Wayne Pike officiating. The burial will follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery on High Street, Deer Lake. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Parsons Funeral Home and Chapel, Deer Lake, NL.
