Ovila Gallant

GALLANT, OVILA
Ovila Gallant, 95, of Castel des Flots Bleus, formerly of Cormier Village, passed away on Monday, October 5th, 2015. Born in Cormier Village on September 13th, 1920, he was the son of the late Ben and Mélécé (Boudreau) Gallant.
Ovila was a WWII veteran where he served with the RC Army. Before his retirement, he was a supervisor for New Brunswick Parks & Recreation Parlee Beach.
He will be sadly missed by his two daughters: Thérèse Hébert (Ernest) of Cormier Village, Cécile Richard (Gérard) of Haute-Aboujagane; one son: Albert Gallant of Cormier Village; one sister: Martha Miller de Fort Lauderdale FL; five grandchildren: Sylvie Richard, Dominique Hébert, Karine Hébert, Debra Richard, Paul Richard and a special great-granddaughter: Naomi Richard.
He was predeceased by his wife Albertine (Gaudet) Gallant (2009); one daughter: Lucie Tremblay; one sister: Lucia Horvat; three half-sisters: Exelda Boucher, Rose Landry, Rosalie Léger and one brother: Edouard Gallant.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297) on Wednesday, October 7th, 2015 from 7 to 9pm only. Funeral will be held at Sacré-Coeur Roman Catholic Church, 944 route 933 Haute-Aboujagane on Thursday, October 8th, 2015 at 10:30am.
A special thanks to the Castel des Flots Bleus for the special care given to Ovila.
In memory of deceased, a contribution to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
