Doris Sleep

SLEEP, DORIS M.
The death of Doris Marie (Clark) Sleep, of Quispamsis, wife of the late Cecil Sleep, occurred on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Kings Way Care Centre. Born on January 17, 1934 in Perth, NB, she was a daughter of the late John and Madeline (White) Clark.
Doris was employed as a hairdresser for many years, then began working at St. Joseph's Hospital for several years until her retirement. She volunteered at the KV Food Basket and was a member of the Rothesay and Quispamsis Seniors Clubs, St. Luke's Church, and the Beaus and Bells Square Dancing. In her later years, she learned to play the fiddle and played with Park Ave. Fiddlers.
Doris is survived by her son, Terry (Susan) of Rothesay, daughters; Cindy Thompson (Bruce) of Quispamsis, Cathy Bresson (Joe), and Jody Murdoch (Alex) both of Fredericton, NB, brothers; Jack Clark (Yvonne) of Sussex, and Stephen Clark (Margot) of Quispamsis, sister-in-law, Faye Clark of Kingston, NB, grandchildren; Angela McCaustlin (Derek), Melissa Bryson (Geoff), Michael Sleigh (Kathy), Joshua Sleep (Jenny), Christopher Sleep, Ryan Bresson (Ruthie), Kelly Lynn Bresson (Jason), Ian Murdoch, Connor Murdoch, and Alyssa Murdoch, great-grandchildren; Samantha and Gregory Bryson, Evan and Emma McCaustlin, Sarah Sleigh, Jasper Sleep, Abigail and Jacob Bresson, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, Doris is predeceased by her brothers, Robert, Gerald, Peter, and Keith.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude and appreciation to the staff of Kings Way Care Centre for their excellent care and outstanding compassion throughout the years.
Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, (849-2119) with visiting on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. Funeral Service will be held at St. Luke's Anglican Church, Quispamsis, on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at 10:00 AM. Interment to take place at St. Luke's Anglican Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or to St. Luke's Anglican Church.
