Adams, Robert Frederick
It is with sadness that we announce the death of Robert F. Adams age 77, of Fredericton, NB on October 10, 2015 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born at Fredericton, NB he was a son of the late Don and Bett Adams.
Robert was an avid story teller, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, He was extremely proud of his military career of 26 years. Robert enjoyed hunting, especially with his sons, son-in-law and grandsons as well as father’s day Golf with his sons and son in-law. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #4 and the RCAF association at large.
Robert will be deeply missed by his wife Carol Ann (Bennett), their children; Robert Lorne (Tammy) of Lincoln, Rodney Donald (Alison) of Rothesay and Roxann Elizabeth LeGoff (Dana) of Fredericton. Nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren with another on the way. Two sisters; Romona Rogers of Fredericton and Catherine Colpitts of Okotoks AB, one brother; Ray (Judy) of Fredericton; one sister-in-law Joyce Bennett of Marysville two dear cousins, Phyllis Crombie and Muriel MacDonald, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his step-mother Mary Isabella Adams, brother Harry Adams, step-brother Wayne Arbeau, great-uncle Frederick Shaw, granddaughter Kristy Dawn Adams, brothers-in-law Charles Bennett, Edward Bennett, Leslie Rogers, Stan Colpitts and sister-in-law Jean Bennett.
There will be no visitation by request. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
For those who wish in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Bishop’s Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road have been entrusted with arrangements.
