Joyce Lillian “Susie”Cormier, 82, of Grant Street, Westville passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2015 in the Aberdeen Hospital with her family at her side.
Born in Pictou, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Edith (Sarson) Beck.
Susie was a special person who chose to be a stay at home mom, dedicating her time to look after two special needs children and later babysitting grandchildren.
She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Christine, at home; Noreen “Pinky” Vint (Robin Gratto); sons Walter (Debbie), and Clifford (Cecilia); 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grand-daughter; step-children, Jimmy and Harvey, P.E.I., Sheila Edwards, Ont.; 9 step-grandchildren; sister-in-law Isabel Beck, Pictou; special cousin Shirley MacNeil (Larry), Pictou; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Walter; children, Linda and Roy; sisters Catherine and Elsie; brothers, William, Henry, Gerald, George, and Douglas Beck.

Mrs. Cormier is resting at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville with visiting on Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
Her funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday from Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville with Rev. Darlene Jewers officiating. Donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetic Association. www.eaglesfuneralhome.ca
