Captain Howard Hancock

At the Kings County Memorial Hospital the passing of Capt. Howard Hancock of Flat River, age 83, devoted husband of 56 years to Frances Isabelle (MacDonald) Hancock, occurred on Saturday, October 10, 2015 with family by his side.
Born in Belle River on September 15, 1932, he was the son of the late Chester and Letitia (Cook) Hancock.
Howard is survived by his loving children, Glen (Sue) Hancock, Dean (Loraine) Hancock, Brenda M. Hancock, Darin T. (Sherry) Hancock, Dr. Tanya D. (Junlong) Hancock-Chen; 11 cherished grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Amy Chapman, Winston C. (Mary) Hancock, Sadie (Ray) Stewart, June (Wayne) Burley; brother-in-law Leonard Grierson; sisters-in-law, Gladys and Elizabeth Hancock; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by brothers and sister, John Hancock, Doris Grierson, Cleveland Hancock, Ivan Hancock, James Hancock; brother-in-law Cecil Chapman; sisters-in-law Miriam Hancock and Joan Hancock.
No visiting hours by Howard's request. At Howard's request a farewell party will take place at the Hancock MacDonald Heritage Tree Lot in Belle River on the Douses Road, on Sunday October 18, 2015 at 1 pm.
Memorial donations to the Salvation Army, Montague Food Bank or a charity of choice would be appreciated.
