The death occurred peacefully, with Carol by his side, at the Palliative Care Unit, Charlottetown, on Wednesday, October 14, 2015, of Darrell Stairs, of Greenvale, beloved husband of Carol (nee Peake), aged 75.
He was the loving father of Steven, Carolyn, Nathan and Kevin; step-father of Peter, Jason and Michelle; and grandfather of Tilai, Connor, Caitlin, Brennah and Daelen.
He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Albert, Marlene, Ross and Sharon.
Darrell was predeceased by his first wife, Janet; his parents, Quincy and Margaret Stairs; and his brother, Chester.
Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Friday, October 16, 2015, from 5:30-8:30 p.m.
The funeral will be held at Central Queen’s Funeral Home Chapel, on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 1:30 p.m.
Interment in Crossroads Christian Church Cemetery, Stratford.
