BALLOCH, VIRGINIA (SULLIVAN)
Peacefully at the Toronto East General Hospital on Monday, October 19, 2015 at the age of 89 years, Virginia MacMillan (nee Trueman) Balloch, beloved wife of the late J. Gordon Balloch (2009) of Moncton, N.B. and the late William A. Sullivan (1990).
Cherished mother of Charlotte Sullivan of Warnham, England, Kevin Sullivan (Kaku Guo) and Philip Sullivan of Toronto, Andrew (Sharon) Sullivan of Sault Ste Marie and the late Hugh Sullivan (1977). Treasured mother-in-law of Mary Wingelar and Shelly Gauvin. Mourned by the Balloch family: Robert Balloch, Bruce Balloch, Karen Tremblay and their families. Proud and loving grandmother of Gavin, Kyle, Rory, Ashley, Winston, Adrian: and Rebecca, Eric, Jonah, Sarah, John, Christine, Daniel and one great grandson, Marshall.
Predeceased by her brothers Stuart, Ian and Hugh Trueman and sisters Margaret Mullin, Ruth Fenety and Nan Haley.
She will be sadly missed by her pampered cat Katie.
Virginia was a graduate of the University of Toronto and was head of music at Pickering High School, Ajax, Ontario for 25 years. She attended St. George's Anglican Church and was a member of Probus Club and Canadian Federation of University Women in Moncton, NB. She will be fondly remembered by her extended family members, friends and neighbours.
Funeral Services will be held in the McDougall & Brown Funeral Home Chapel, 2900 Kingston Rd. Toronto, Ontario, 416-267-4656 (at St. Clair Ave.) on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 2 pm. (Visitation will commence in the chapel at 1 pm.).
Flowers gratefully declined, donations to St. George's Anglican Church, The Salvation Army or the Toronto Wildlife Centre would be appreciated.
