It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of William Allister Parsons, on Monday, Oct. 19, 2015 in Harbourstone Enhanced Care.
Born In Glace Bay, Al was the son of the late William and Rita (Miller).
Al is survived by his wife, Judy (Clarke) Parsons; his daughters, Joanne (Paul) Ducey and Allison (John) Brown. He is also survived by five stepchildren, Patsy Clarke, Wanda (Mike) Strong, Judy (Peter) Skinner, Bill Clarke and Stan Clarke; four grandchildren, Holly, Stephen, Alyssa and Jonathan; 12 step-grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Marilyn (Roberts) Parsons; sister, Sylvia and brother, Henry.
Al moved to Ontario as a young man and retired back to Cape Breton after his retirement from Stelco Steel. Al enjoyed fishing, bowling, horseshoes and played guitar in a local band most of his adult life while living in Ontario.
Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will take place at Patten Funeral Chapel, 71 Union St., Glace Bay on Friday, Oct. 23, 2015 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Reid officiating.
