Peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the QEH on Monday, October 19, 2015, Catherine Mary King (Martell) of Georgetown in her 85th year.
Beloved wife of the late Donald King. Daughter of the late Henry Martell and Mary (Moore). Cherished and loving mother of Yvonne (Jacques Leblanc), Marlene (Mike MacKinnon), Jack, Heather (Henry Pankratz), Kent (Patti Dixon), Cameron (Barb Martell). Dear grandmother of Jessie and Jaime MacKinnon, Elaine and Laura King, Steffan, Catherine and Cameron Pankratz, Elizabeth and Alexander King, and Jarrett King.

 Survived by her brothers Harvey (Dale), Joey (Valerie), Gerry (Lila), Glen (Dawn), Mike (Tammi), sisters Pauline Comeau (Israel deceased), June Dauphinee (Doug), Lavern Ohlandt (Manfred), Maureen Praught (Tony), brother-in-law Alfie Arsenault, sisters-in-law Maureena and Catty Martell, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her loving sister Marion (Arsenault) sister Gladys, and brothers Buddy and Lawrence.


Catherine spent her life devoted to her husband, children and grandchildren. She faced many challenges with her health throughout the years and her ability to "keep going" was admired by all. She shared her gift as well as her love of music and we will remember her beautiful voice when we hear so many songs. One Day at a Time, Mom!


Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home with visiting on Friday, October 23 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held on Saturday, October 24 at 11 a.m. from the funeral home chapel. Interment to take place in St. David's United Church Cemetery, Georgetown.
If so desired, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Kings County Memorial Hospital.


Many thanks to all the nurses and doctors who cared for Mom over the years especially Dr. David Hambly, Dr. Guy Boswell, Dr. Peter Midgley and Dr. Andrew MacLeod. A special thank you to the nursing staff and doctors of Unit 3 at QEH for the excellent and compassionate care our mother and family received over her final days.
