Janice O'Connor
Janice Patricia O’Connor age 61 of Stellarton, passed away October 21, 2015 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow she was a daughter of the late Bill and Ruby (Price) Burden.
Janice was a resident of Stellarton most of her life.
She worked selling vegetables at the roadside for many years and also worked at the former Metropolitan Store, Tim Hortons, John Vance Heating and Plumbing and The News from where she retired. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Stellarton.
She is survived by a son Mark Phinney (Sarah), Loch Broom; daughter Mandi, at home; grandson Michael William Douglas Green; step-daughters Amber, New Glasgow; Tara, New Glasgow; step-sons Matthew and Joey, numerous step-grandchildren; sister Joyce, Kitchener, Ontario; nieces and nephews Kim (Rob), Karin, Debbie, Sandi, Andrew; and her girl Shelby.
She was predeceased by her husband Edward O’Connor, uncles George and Arthur Burden and aunts Jessie and Aggie Burden.
Her remains will rest in the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel, Stellarton from 1-3 pm Saturday. Funeral service will be held at 3 pm Saturday in the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel with Rev. Charles McPherson officiating. Burial will be in the Brookside Cemetery.
